<description>A total makeover was done when a dull den was transformed into a warm, cozy area for conversation, TV viewing, and work.

The photos will show the design process of before, during, and after....

This is a view of the chimney wall that was transformed into a conversation area and media center:

This is a view of the bay window that got a special treatment:

      <title>Creating A Dramatic Fireplace</title>

<description>Well, I said I was going to makeover the fireplace in the first posting, and here it is ...

The before and after -- from a white wall to a faux finish wall that makes this room a dramatic one; a true focal point of this room. The colors were inspired by the vase sitting on the floor in front of the fireplace, and turned out to be a great match!

<description>This bedroom makeover reflects a romantic setting with an eclectic style. It started with a somewhat empty room that shows the bed mattress on the floor...

A design drawing shows the vision for this part of the room...

The result displays the vision...

The other side of the room had a nice nook area...

This was transformed into a cozy vanity area.

The room was completed with accessories and wall hangings, helping to create an atmosphere that is warm and pleasing.

In this living room, I cleared the room and began measuring every wall, window, and crevice. I then drew up a floor plan and put my vision to work. From pre-measured furniture pieces I selected, I made cut-out pieces and placed them in various spots in the room until I came up with my &quot;bingo!&quot; layout.

Here's how it started...and here's my vision:

The result:
